Midnight Club: Los Angeles For: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 Publisher: Rockstar www.rockstargames.com Rating: 5/5
For an Angelino, there is no greater joy than racing through Sunset Blvd…with traffic…at 140 mph…in a modified R34 GT-R…while running from the police. Whereas in the real world, the end result would’ve been a beating worse than Rodney King, in <I>Midnight Club: Los Angeles<I>, all it costs is a few digital dollars and a quick load…and that’s if you’re caught. With over 40 completely customizable vehicles, including parts from your fave tuning brands, in a landscape so closely modeled to LA that you swear you just passed a panty-less Britney, <I>MC: LA<I> is hours of entertainment--especially with the new multiplayer modes with powerups. Capture the flag, anyone? This game’s so much fun it should be illegal. Digitally even.

And tonight, to celebrate the release of the game, the Rockstar Games crew is heading out to the Virgin Megastore out in Hollywood, CA (6801 Hollywood Blvd) to count down the midnight launch with a special performance by in-game artist, Eagles of Death Metal. It starts at 11:30pm so get packing.
