Drifting with a Honda...ELEMENT?

Honda Element D

With the rising popularity of drifting, we've seen some pretty interesting conversions. Rear wheel drive Imprezas and EVOs are no longer uncommon, but rwd converted Hondas?  Not just any Honda, but the Element?  Good old SEMA brings out the best in the auto industry, and this Element is no exception.  Powered by a 500 horsepower, longitudinally mounted, twin turbo v6, this car shows what Honda engineers are capable of with enough time and money on their hands. Dubbed the Element D (d is for drift, duh!), the plan is to campaign in the upcoming Formula D season.

As wacky as it sounds, I'm actually anxious to see this thing in action.  I think it will be hilarious watching a Honda Element blast through sweepers sideways!  So hate on, everyone. Even though it may not be the best platform to be a true competitor in the drift world, Honda has gone all out. I think its sick! But in that sort of way that makes a fast station wagon cool.  Its too random to not be tight.
